Modern. Traditional. Beautiful. Friendly. Exciting. Eclectic. Cultured. Educated & Active.

Austin, Texas is all of these & more. Our flourishing metropolitan city, the 11th most populated in the United States, has somehow managed to retain the “feel” of a small town while offering both its residents & its visitors a vibrant place to live & stay. The city that can boast world-class restaurants, theaters, art galleries, shopping & golf can also celebrate its proud roots in the form of mouth-watering BBQ, spicy Tex-Mex, & cold beer nights at the rodeo. This amazing cultural dichotomy is not exclusive to either high salaried professionals or the general working-class. Doctors can be seen wearing cowboy boots at local dance halls & flip-flops aren’t frowned upon even at 5-Star establishments.

Austin residents like to stay active & they have an infinite number of ways to get moving. Nearby are natural spring-fed swimming pools, urban bike & jogging paths, river floating, rock climbing, public and private golf courses, wineries & micro-breweries, & a string of Hill Country lakes that offer excellent waters for fishing, waterskiing & pleasure boating. Night life is also a popular activity & living up to its image as “The Live Music Capital of the United States,” Austin attracts thousands of music lovers each year to a staggering number of live music venues & to its world-famous music festivals.

Listed in countless Best-Places-to-Live lists, Austin is also home to a number of award-winning elementary, middle & high schools, & the prestigious University of Texas is just one of several colleges & universities located here. Being a great place to live & work often go hand-in-hand. According to Livability.com there are 123,444 business establishments in Austin with fewer than 10 employees, which is a good indicator of local entrepreneurship. Just as impressive is the fact that numerous larger companies show high corporate trust by locating their head offices here.

Austin Neighborhoods

Real estate investment in Austin & its surrounding communities is at an all-time high. The Austin Chamber of Commerce describes our community as “a unique blend of Southern hospitality, cosmopolitan flair, Old West charm & modern sophistication.” At the heart of this great chili pot of class & culture, is an economy that Texas Enterprise describes as “booming”. Staff writer, Jan Bucholz, of the Austin Business Journal said in a January 2014 article that “Austin’s real estate market – residential & commercial – is the talk of the country.” And in a state that’s home to three of the fastest growing cities in the US, Forbes has listed Austin as the fastest growing city in the country. Are there some growing pains? A few. But there are also incredible opportunities & our quality of living is second to none. If you have not yet made Austin, Texas your home, now is a good time to do it. There’s an old Texas saying that goes like this, “I wasn’t born in Texas…but I got here as fast as I could.”
