A Happy Thanksgiving from Mine to Yours

Wade and Jeff stand with their golden dog at their feet and daughter in Wade's arms.

As we head into Thanksgiving, I’ve been thinking a lot about what “home” really means. It’s not just a place; it’s the people (and pets) who fill it, the stories that shape it, and the moments that remind us how lucky we are to have them.

This year has been a full one for my family and me. I’m endlessly grateful for Jeff, our daughter Harlow, and our dog Bill, who fills every corner of our home with joy. And, like many families, we experienced both celebration and loss. Earlier this year, we said goodbye to Sport, our loyal companion who gave us so many years of love and laughter. Losing him was a reminder of how deeply our lives, and our homes, are defined by the hearts that live in them.

I’m equally grateful for this incredible community. Every client who lets us walk alongside them in their next chapter, every partner who shares in the work we love, and every friend who continues to cheer us on? Your trust means everything to us. Every transaction we touch tells a story of new beginnings, and being part of that is a privilege I never take for granted.

This year, our team (Kate, Christi, Lauren, Cassandra, and Christy) has shown up with heart, hustle, and a shared belief that real estate is about people first. Together, we’ve celebrated milestones, embraced change, and continued to build something meaningful here in Austin.

When I look back on 2025, it’s been a year of growth and new chapters, not just for our clients, but for us, too. We hosted our fourth annual crawfish boil, which has quickly become one of my favorite traditions because it reminds me just how special this community really is.

We also made the exciting move to Compass this year, a decision that’s allowed us to deepen our roots and expand our team in new, meaningful ways.

On the personal side, we’ve settled more fully into our home in Westlake, and Harlow turned one, a milestone that has made me slow down and savor just how fast the little moments pass.

It’s been a year of change, celebration, and reflection. And through it all, the common thread has been connection: the kind that turns houses into homes and clients into lifelong friends.

Austin has a way of making connection easy: neighbors who become friends, houses that become homes, and ordinary days that turn into extraordinary memories.

As we look toward the year ahead, we’re excited to keep creating spaces where connection, community, and home come to life.

Wherever you’re spending this holiday, I hope it’s filled with gratitude, laughter, and a few quiet moments to take it all in.

From my family and everyone at The Giles Group, Happy Thanksgiving.

We’re so grateful to be part of your story.
