Cosmic Saltillo: The New Star in East Austin's Sky
Ah, Austin! The city’s café and bar scene has witnessed another splendid entrant. The renowned South Austin gem, Cosmic Coffee & Beer Garden, just unfurled its stellar new space in East Austin. Named 'Cosmic Saltillo', the newbie is situated at 1300 East 4th Street in the ever-bustling East Cesar Chavez neighborhood, having opened its doors on Friday, September 8.

Let’s Taco ‘bout Food and Pour Over the Details!
For the very first time, the Cosmic family has introduced a dining delight – Cosmic Tacos. True to its name, tacos rule the menu. From the drool-worthy Chickaroni featuring fried chicken and cotija cheese to the earthy brisket and guajillo chicken, it’s a tacolicious feast. And for early birds, breakfast tacos range from chilaquiles to bacon delights.
Want a twist? Turn those tacos into tortas or green bowls. If your tastebuds are still dancing, sides like corn, salsa, and queso fries should do the trick. For sippers, there are aguas frescas that can get a tipsy twist with tequila or vodka, and let’s not forget those thirst-quenching micheladas.

If you’re here for the classic Cosmic experience, fret not! Their signature coffee and bar menu stands strong, with your beloved lattes, cortados, and yes, the thrilling blend of alcohol and caffeine in drinks like carajillos and espresso martinis. Plus, Austin’s brewery drafts and cheeky cocktails add to the mix.
Location and Stellar Spaces
The location is a nod to the past, transforming the old Texaco Depot with its iconic tower into a rooftop deck. Mirroring its South Austin sibling, Cosmic Saltillo is a testament to sustainability, boasting gardens, a pond, and eco-friendly practices.
Behind this masterpiece is the Cosmic Hospitality Group, who also brought us the legendary LeRoy & Lewis food truck at the original Cosmic.
Starting September 13, be ready to bask in Cosmic vibes from 8 a.m. to midnight daily. So, Austinites, are you ready to go ‘Cosmic’ once more?
